When I lived in Canada, visiting Algonquin National Park at this time of the year was delightful to the senses because of the spectacular display of colours: strong reds, yellows, oranges and browns. The once green leaves were turning the forests into an amazing collage of colour and beauty.
The seasons, and especially the autumn, are good reminders of our temporary existence. Just like the leaves, we come and go. Just like the leaves drop from the trees, our physical vehicle also drops from our real being. So this is a good reminder how temporal we are. Are we aware of all that surrounds us? Are we taking advantage of all the possibilities available? Are we using our potential to the full?
