Continuing with last week´s theme, I´m going to tell you something that happened to me three days ago.

I was in the supermarket looking at a large and beautiful bouquet, but the petals of some of the roses already looked sad. A boy was setting up and arranging the section. He looked at me and asked if he could help me. I told him I really liked the bouquet, but it didn´t look very fresh and I wanted to give it away as a present the next day. Very kindly, he said to me to wait and he´d see if there were any others in the warehouse. He came back with a large box that had not been opened. He opened it in front of me and there were two very fresh bouquets, just like the one I wanted. They were beautiful! I said to him I´ll take both of them. He put the box in the trolley, but that filled it up and there was no space for anything else. Very politely, he said: “Don´t worry. Leave it here and when you get to the checkout I´ll bring it to you.” Happy with that, I went on to do the shopping and then stopped by the flower section to let him know I was ready, but he was not there. The box and the bouquets that I didn´t like weren´t there either. An assistant went to look for him and he came back with a similar box. I paid and he took it to the car for me. He put it in the front so the water wouldn´t spill with the movement of the car. Everything was perfect. I appreciated his kindness and help.

On my way home I ran into a traffic jam which held me up for a while. Happy to have found such beautiful bouquets, I looked at them, and what did I see? The old bouquets! I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t understand why the boy had taken them back to the warehouse again. As soon as I could, I turned the car round and went back. When he saw me he was very surprised. He didn’t know what to say. I told him to get the flowers out of the car, because he had given me the old ones. He said no; they had arrived that day. But if I wanted, he could go to the warehouse and bring some others. I told him I was so disappointed with what he had done that I no longer wanted any flowers.

Why am I telling you all this? I mentioned “resonance” last week. When I got to the supermarket and was approaching the flower section, my internal resonance told me not to buy flowers there. I wanted to see what was available, so I disobeyed not to approach the section, since I had no intention of buying flowers there.

However, the bouquet was so beautiful that I decided to buy it. As this was happening, inside me, I felt the resonance diminished, allowing me to do whatever I wanted. I was aware but felt nothing bad could happen buying some flowers. Not only did I come to regret doing that, but afterwards I couldn’t find any like them.

Whenever I don’t follow my inner guidance, things go wrong for me. I am aware, but still get caught and carried away by external attractions: hence, easily fooled. Many people feel that type of resonance and don’t care about it. That guidance is important for all of us. It is essential to pay attention to it. Listen carefully. It can save you a lot of pain.

Our biggest obstacles come when we don´t follow our inner “resonance.
