I’ve said on other occasions that I love looking at the moon. On one of these occasions recently, I took a photograph that accompanies this blog. I couldn´t believe it. I had never seen it with its own reflexion. I became really rapt up looking at it. It brought me back down to earth. We humans do it all the time: we are reflected in others and always think we can see them, when in reality it’s our own image with all its own characteristics that we can see.

Looking at the photo, I remember it was a bright clear half-moon when I took it. The reflection was faint. Yet the picture I took is a slightly deformed half-moon, but with a very clear reflection. That fits perfectly with what happens with unaware human beings, because they don’t see their real interior. They see themselves out-of-focus. On the other hand, in other people they see themselves clearly. In this case, their unconscious mind doesn’t let them see that they’re looking at their own image. What can they do? Wake up!

As I always say, questions help us a lot to see what we can’t see or don’t want to. Looking in the mirror focusing on our eyes, looking enquiringly, can be revealing. We should be very honest with ourselves and remember our “ego”, because it can distort our inner reality. Also, you must bear in mind the things you see in others that you don’t believe are yours. We must come out of the world of denial and enter into the acceptation of what we are and what we have inside us. We must thank from our hearts those who give us back a little of ourselves through the reflection we see of ourselves in them.

Do you dare to look for yourself? Do you already do it? How does it work? We must remember we can come across pretty things and ugly things. They are all welcome. We need them all.
